Amnesty International Australia has made a submission to the Australian Labor Party National Platform consultation in the lead up to the 49th Australian Labor Party Conference in August 2023.
Amnesty’s submission focuses on key aspects concerning human rights in Australia that the Albanese Labor Government must implement, including but not limited to the establishment of a Human Rights Act, raising the minimum age of criminal responsibility to fourteen, and increasing Australia’s Humanitarian Program while treating refugees and people seeking asylum with dignity and respect.
