In honour of Refugee Week, the Amnesty Youth Network invites you to watch with us the intriguing movie of Mary Meets Mohammad. Come along, grab some grub and be entertained by a brilliant flick.
The event is FREE and will be held at, and in partnership with Youth ART’s and Recreation Centre on Friday, 22 June @ 6:30pm.
This film follows the arrival of Tasmania’s first detention centre through the eyes of local Christian woman and knitting club member Mary and Muslim Afghan Hazara asylum seeker Mohammad, who is detained inside the centre – as they connect through the gift of a knitted beanie.
