Amnesty Chermside group invites you to join us for a casual get together to write letters and sign petitions for individuals and groups around the world whose human rights are being violated, for Amnesty International’s annual Write for Rights Campaign. We are a small, friendly volunteer group in northern Brisbane.
This event will be held on Sunday 10 December 2023 (international Human Rights Day) in a meeting room at Chermside library. A group volunteer wearing an Amnesty t-shirt will be at the library entrance for 15 minutes before the event time. If you don’t see them, library staff can advise you which meeting room we are in (these rooms are through the doors to the left and past the lifts as you enter the library).
There is no entry fee and light snacks, beverages and all materials will be provided.
Chermside library is an accessible venue, close to bus stops with free council car parking underneath the building and outside. If there are further adjustments we can make to ensure easier access for you, don’t hesitate to contact us.
