“Girl Rising” is an inspiring feature length film which highlights the situation of girls and women in a range of countries, from Ethiopia to Vietnam. While the discrimination, violence and lack of opportunities are often heart rending, the initiatives taken by many communities – led by women – to tackle these issues are inspiring.
Proceeds will go towards the Girl Rising project which supports programs like those shown in the film and Amnesty International.
