Amnesty WA will hold a stall at the Multicultural Communities Council of WA’s (MCCWA) Mental Health Symposium, titled ‘Finding Freedom: Refugee Mental Health and Inclusion”. The symposium aims to empower people from Migrants, Refugees & Asylum Seeker backgrounds and target service providers & community leaders. The event will be focused on reinforcing and raising awareness on social inclusion, belonging, mental health, and the empowerment of migrants/refugees/asylum seekers as a vulnerable group experiencing hardship. Speakers will be invited to provide a legal, clinical, LGBTQI+/social, and lived-experience perspective on the topic.
