The event will primarily be an opportunity for people to gather socially, reflect upon campaigning throughout the year, celebrate achievements and contemplate challenges ahead.
Brief formalities will include an awards presentation, with recipients to be awarded in the categories of Activist Leader of the Year, Activist of the Year, Youth Activist of the Year, Team of the Year and Emerging Team of the Year. Amanda Atlee, NSW Community Organiser, will also give a speech discussing her experiences with different Amnesty sections.
The event will be a catered gathering running from 11am to 3pm, with attendees encouraged to continue socialising into the late afternoon or evening at a local pub if they wish to.
