The Amnesty NSW Refugee Network presents a film screening of ‘Salam Neighbour‘!

Salam Neighbour is an award-winning feature documentary and campaign to connect the world to refugees. In an effort to better understand refugee life, they spent one month living alongside displaced families in the Za’atari refugee camp.

As the first filmmakers ever allowed by the United Nations to be given a tent and registered inside a refugee camp, they are able to get a never before seen look into the world’s most pressing crisis.

This film is important … because it shatters the idea that there isn’t anything that one can do, that the problem is too big.

-Samantha Power, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.

The Amnesty Refugee Network wishes to host a screening of this event, at a a critical moment, with more refugees today than anytime in the last century.

With the current progress in terms of the Border Force Act, and the upcoming Doctors’ March on November 5th, the momentum is buidling in the fight for refugee and asylum seeker welfare.

This event will have a speaker, likely from the Refugee Council of Australia.
