Amnesty International Australia is thrilled to announce that applications are now OPEN for our Leadership Launchpad Program!
This comprehensive program aims to give you the knowledge, skills, confidence and platform to actually make a difference and create positive change! Through human rights education, skill-up workshops and action-orientated campaign planning sessions, this program will empower you to be the best human rights activists that you can be!
The training program will include three forms of learnings over the semester:
- LEARN about human rights issues that underpin AIA’s priority campaigns and learn how to navigate difficult conversations in order to advocate for these human rights issues;
- SKILL-UP through practical sessions that focus on the essentials of leadership, how to talk about human rights and have difficult conversations, how to run a strategic campaign, how to use digital tools for activism and how practice sustainable activism and self care;
- TAKE ACTION by getting involved in AIA’s campaign events and activities and put your learnings to practice by empowering and mobilising other young people to join!
2024 Semester Program Information:
- Eligibility: Aged between 16-25 years old, passionate about human rights
- Semester Dates: International Youth Day (12 Aug) – Human Rights Day (10 Dec)
- Frequency & Duration: Program sessions will be held once a fortnight on Monday evenings at 7pm AEDT for 1.5-2hours
- You will receive an official Amnesty International Australia Certificate upon completion of this program
