Amnesty Sunshine Coast asks you to join us at this family-friendly community solidarity event for a free Palestine. Facebook event here.
Amidst the serene beauty of Cotton Tree Park, let us peacefully unite in solidarity for a cause that echoes in our hearts and demands global attention. This Sunday at 2:00 PM, we gather to stand in support of the Free Palestine movement, calling for immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
This event isn’t just a gathering; it’s a moment of connection, creativity, and reflection. Beginning at 2:00 PM, we’ll weave our voices together, create art, and craft signs that resonate with the spirit of justice and freedom. Bring your creativity and passion; let’s paint the park with our shared vision for a free Palestine.
We will have an info space with resources and ways to contribute with list of ways to get involved and support, donate, etc.
As the day unfolds, we’ll indulge in a collective picnic, sharing stories, thoughts, and hopes for a brighter future. At 4:00 PM, our gathering will transition into a time for solemn reflection. Together, we’ll honour and remember the lives lost.
This vigil is more than an event; it’s an opportunity to stand together, to listen, to express, and to remember. Let’s join hands, share our love, and advocate for a world where every voice is heard, and every life matters.
Your peaceful presence and support are deeply appreciated. Spread the word, invite friends, and let’s make this nonviolent gathering a symbol of unity and solidarity.
