Why make a gift?
When a business stands with Amnesty, your customers know that you also stand for equality, justice, freedom, and human dignity. Amnesty International is one of the world’s most trusted organisations.
We are known for our commitment to our values, our insistence in getting the facts straight, and our persistence in making the world a better place. It’s why governments, intergovernmental organisations, journalists, scholars, other human rights organisations and campaigning groups consult with us; and why we are a movement of over seven million people. We rely on the support of businesses and individuals to create long-term human rights change.
To ensure our complete independence we do not accept funding from governments or political organisations, making your support even more vital.
No matter how small or big your business, you can help defend human rights with a support journey that reflects your business’ unique needs.
WHY BECOME A BUSINESS SUPPORTER
Workplace giving
Workplace giving is a simple and effective way for a business to help employees make a difference and show them that their business is actively supporting human rights. Donations can also be deducted from employees’ pay before tax, making their donations go even further.
An added benefit: workplace giving reduces your employees’ taxable income, and you can match employees’ donations dollar for dollar, doubling your company’s impact.
How to start workplace giving today
Let your employees know about workplace giving. We can help by delivering presentations or by providing you with promotional material. Once an employee has agreed to participate in the program, you can deduct a specified amount each payday from the employee’s salaries through your payroll system or with the help of our workplace-giving partners. Funds can be deposited directly into Amnesty International’s bank account by internet transfer, bank deposit or cheque.
